BIG BATCH BUTTERSCOTCH COOKIES

This recipe is almost fail proof, and it will win you over a big crowd. It is delicious and so easy to make. Just get ready to see them disappear quickly! Recipe is from Better Homes and Gardens, making 5 dozen cookies.

GATHER:

  • 1 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3 cups packed brown sugar
  • 3 each eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 5 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp cream of tartar

MAKE:

  1. In a large bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cream of tartar; gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
  2. Drop by level tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks to cool.
